Kingdom of Light

Interpretation By
Leslie Young Marks
All scripture references are The Amplified Bible
Isaiah 60:1-51ARISE [from the depression and prostration in which circumstances have kept you--rise to a new life]! Shine (be radiant with the glory of the Lord), for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you! 2For behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and dense darkness [all] peoples, but the Lord shall arise upon you [O Jerusalem], and His glory shall be seen on you 3And nations shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising. 4Lift up your eyes round about you and see! They all gather themselves together, they come to you. Your sons shall come from afar, and your daughters shall be carried and nursed in the arms. 5Then you shall see and be radiant, and your heart shall thrill and tremble with joy [at the glorious deliverance] and be enlarged; because the abundant wealth of the [Dead] Sea shall be turned to you, unto you shall the nations come with their treasures.
We are living in the days of the third and final reformation. It is the mission of the Body of Christ to partner with Heaven, to complete the ministry of the Son of Man to seek and to save that which was lost, and to destroy the works of the evil one. It is the heart of God to restore, and He has abundantly blessed and equipped the saints with the power, authority, and the anointing to fulfill the commission given in Genesis 1:28: to be fruitful, multiply, fill the Earth, subdue it and have dominion. The Lord is coming back to receive His Kingdom. A kingdom in which there dwells no darkness; a kingdom of light. It is a set time to arise and shine.
Light brings chaos into order
Before God expresses Himself in any other facet of “I Am” He reveals Himself as Elohim. (Creator God)
Genesis 1:1-4 1IN THE beginning God (prepared, formed, fashioned, and) created the heavens and the earth. 2The earth was without form and an empty waste, and darkness was upon the face of the very great deep. The Spirit of God was moving (hovering, brooding) over the face of the waters. 3And God said, Let there be light; and there was light. 4And God saw that the light was good (suitable, pleasant) and He approved it; and God separated the light from the darkness.
In these first four verses God introduces Himself as Trinity- Elohim is a plural word.
Verse 1: In the beginning, God (Father)
Verse 2: The Spirit of God hovered (Spirit)
Verse 3: Then God Said (The Word, Jesus)
When God said, “Let there be Light,” it was Jesus, the Word of God, speaking Himself into the Earth realm, which was the beginning of all life. He is the Light and the Life of men; the very expression of the glory of God the Father in the earth, by the power of His Spirit. Jesus is upholding the whole universe by the mighty Word of His power. Not only is He the creative force, but the propelling, maintaining and guiding, life sustaining force that holds all of creation together. (See Hebrews 1:2,3)
Between verses one and two of Genesis, it seems as though chaos was introduced on earth. Emptiness, darkness, and lack of form was the result of Satan being cast down to earth (Revelation 12: 7-9 and 12), and so the war begins (which is an extension of the war that broke out in heaven). In Genesis chapter 3 we see it all unfold with Satan’s subtlety and craftiness as he seduced man (male and female) to fall, and stripped them of their innocence, their place of authority, and their communion with God. From this time until the last chapter in Revelation, it is all about restoring that which was lost, and for man to return again to righteousness, rulership, and to again tabernacle with a Holy God, through Jesus Christ.
Now, when God separated light from the darkness, He didn’t intend for the Church to isolate itself from the world. On the contrary, He has always desired a people, a company of warriors, to infiltrate darkness and to over throw its kingdoms; to make the kingdoms of this world to become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ (Revelation 11:15). His mandate was from the beginning and still is, for believers to fulfill Genesis 1:28, and to counter the escape mentality which is to separate ourselves, hide under the wing of the Almighty, and wait to be lifted out of a sinful world. We need a mind shift from escapism to a victorious way of thinking about eschatology. God didn’t send us His Spirit of Power expecting us to fail. The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof. He has empowered His Body to win the war, to bring back kingdom order, and to make His enemies, His footstool. We need to be transformed in our way of thinking.
Romans 12:2 2Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you].

Light overcomes darkness
When God separated light from darkness, He set the light apart unto Himself as a holy thing. He created it to displace the darkness. Darkness has never, and will never overtake the light.
John 1:1-5 1IN THE beginning [before all time] was the Word (Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself. 2He was present originally with God. 3All things were made and came into existence through Him; and without Him was not even one thing made that has come into being.4In Him was Life, and the Life was the Light of men. 5And the Light shines on in the darkness, for the darkness has never overpowered it [put it out or absorbed it or appropriated it, and is unreceptive to it].
There is no darkness in God; He is the Father of Lights and we are the children of light, created after His image and likeness.
James 1:17 17Every good gift and every perfect (free, large, full) gift is from above; it comes down from the Father of all [that gives] light, in [the shining of] Whom there can be no variation [rising or setting] or shadow cast by His turning [as in an eclipse].
God is the very essence of light. We are His light in the earth, because Christ shines through us to show forth the glory of God and the out raying of the divine in the earth realm.
Matthew 5:14 14You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.
Matthew 5:16 16Let your light so shine before men that they may see your moral excellence and your praiseworthy, noble, and good deeds and recognize and honor and praise and glorify your Father Who is in heaven.
2 Corinthians 4:6-7 6For God Who said, Let light shine out of darkness, has shone in our hearts so as [to beam forth] the Light for the illumination of the knowledge of the majesty and glory of God [as it is manifest in the Person and is revealed] in the face of Jesus Christ (the Messiah). 7However, we possess this precious treasure [the divine Light of the Gospel] in [frail, human] vessels of earth, that the grandeur and exceeding greatness of the power may be shown to be from God and not from ourselves.
The light that was commanded to shine out of darkness has revealed to us that this brightness is the Glory of God which is seen in the face of Jesus Christ. The Light and power, this precious treasure, is held in earthen vessels that are perishable, so that everyone can see that our glorious power is God’s and not our own. It is Christ in us the hope of Glory, and He radiates His Glory, His Light, and His Power from within us.
Colossians 1:26-27 26The mystery of which was hidden for ages and generations [from angels and men], but is now revealed to His holy people (the saints), 27To whom God was pleased to make known how great for the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ within and among you, the Hope of [realizing the] glory.
Sound and Light
Just as the sounds of heaven being released in this day are doing great damage to the enemy through prophetic intercession, new dimensions in worship, groaning in travail, apostolic decrees, proclamations and declarations, a more intense light, which allows a greater vision, is launching an awesome assault as well. As light brings new revelation and uncovers the works of darkness, Satan’s strategies are unraveled. Darkness hates light , and when God commanded “Light Be,” sound and light were infused together to bring chaos into order; Kingdom Order. When Jesus spoke Himself into the earth realm, by way of that decree, He simultaneously prophesied His light bearers (you and me) into it as well, as we were in Him from the foundation of the earth. We are His weapons of mass destruction bringing His will and His Kingdom into manifestation, and obliterating the works of darkness.

Ephesians 1:4 4Even as [in His love] He chose us [actually picked us out for Himself as His own] in Christ before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy (consecrated and set apart for Him) and blameless in His sight, even above reproach, before Him in love (read all of Ephesians 1)

We, who are in Christ, are His sound and His light in the earth realm and we have been given His authority to speak creative words of Light and Life into dark situations. We are living in a time and season in which everything is changing radically. The world is seemingly sinking into greater darkness and despair, but we are God’s solution; we are His creative force in the earth. It is time to intensify our efforts to shift our nation and our world out of darkness, and into His marvelous light.

1 Peter 2:9 9But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God's] own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.

The Bride of Christ in Intercession

We are seated together with Christ in the place of authority in Him; in a place of intercession. We are one with Him in intimacy. We have the mind of Christ, and pray the heart of the Father for the purpose of reconciling all things to Him.

Ephesians 2:6 6And He raised us up together with Him and made us sit down together [giving us joint seating with Him] in the heavenly sphere [by virtue of our being] in Christ Jesus (the Messiah, the Anointed One).
Hebrews 7:25 25Therefore He is able also to save to the uttermost (completely, perfectly, finally, and for all time and eternity) those who come to God through Him, since He is always living to make petition to God and intercede with Him and intervene for them.

In this prophetic painting, the Bride of Christ is positioned between heaven and earth in intercession. Having been transfigured she stands in the gap bringing the glorious light and life of heaven, the Revelation of Jesus Christ to all nations of the earth. Her passion and desire flows from the heart of God and she has fulfilled His dominion mandate. The Kingdom of God represented by the predominant mountain rises above the 7 mountains of influence in today’s culture taking dominion over economics, government, education, arts and entertainment, media, family, and religion. This is Revelation 11:15 prophesied in visual form.

Revelation 11:15 15The seventh angel then blew [his] trumpet, and there were mighty voices in heaven, shouting, The dominion (kingdom, sovereignty, rule) of the world has now come into the possession and become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ (the Messiah), and He shall reign forever and ever (for the eternities of the eternities)!

The Glorious bride, without spot or wrinkle, is the very summit of the mountain, representing the truth that the Kingdom of God is within us. We are the embodiment of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. (Romans 14:17)

Luke 17:20-21 20Asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He replied to them by saying, The kingdom of God does not come with signs to be observed or with visible display, 21Nor will people say, Look! Here [it is]! or, See, [it is] there! For behold, the kingdom of God is within you [in your hearts] and among you [surrounding you].

Living water pours from her innermost being, bringing Zoë life to all the kingdoms of this world. The word of the Lord surrounds and embraces each kingdom and the knowledge of the Lord covers the earth as the waters cover the sea. (See Isaiah 11)
It is always God’s Heart to reconcile, redeem, reform, and restore, and this painting depicts the love of God for all people. Salvation, through Jesus Christ is offered to everyone, without exception.
Matthew 24:14 14And this good news of the kingdom (the Gospel) will be preached throughout the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then will come the end.

The Bride / A picture of Tabernacles
Revelation 21:1-7 1THEN I saw a new sky (heaven) and a new earth, for the former sky and the former earth had passed away (vanished), and there no longer existed any sea. 2And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, all arrayed like a bride beautified and adorned for her husband; 3Then I heard a mighty voice from the throne and I perceived its distinct words, saying, See! The abode of God is with men, and He will live (encamp, tent) among them; and they shall be His people, and God shall personally be with them and be their God. 4God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and death shall be no more, neither shall there be anguish (sorrow and mourning) nor grief nor pain any more, for the old conditions and the former order of things have passed aw5And He Who is seated on the throne said, See! I make all things new. Also He said, Record this, for these sayings are faithful (accurate, incorruptible, and trustworthy) and true (genuine). 6And He [further] said to me, It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I [Myself] will give water without price from the fountain (springs) of the water of Life. 7He who is victorious shall inherit all these things, and I will be God to him and he shall be My son.
Revelation 21:22-26 22I saw no temple in the city, for the Lord God Omnipotent [Himself] and the Lamb [Himself] are its temple. 23And the city has no need of the sun nor of the moon to give light to it, for the splendor and radiance (glory) of God illuminate it, and the Lamb is its lamp. 24The nations shall walk by its light and the rulers and leaders of the earth shall bring into it their glory. 25And its gates shall never be closed by day, and there shall be no night there. 26They shall bring the glory (the splendor and majesty) and the honor of the nations into it.
Revelation 22:4-5 4They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads. 5And there shall be no more night; they have no need for lamplight or sunlight, for the Lord God will illuminate them and be their light, and they shall reign [as kings] forever and ever (through the eternities of the eternities).

What became of the darkness?

Revelation 12:1 describes a picture of the glorious church – the Lord’s Bride, clothed with the sun; complete in righteous, holiness and radiance; the very perfection of Christ. With the moon under her feet, she rules over the darkness. A crown like garland of 12 stars graces her head, representing governmental authority over the entire universe and she has completely fulfilled the destiny for which she was created.
Blessing, glory, honor, and power forever be to Emanuel, God with us - we have become the place of His abode, we rest in Him and he rests in us! The Feast of Tabernacles is fulfilled. Amen!
